MAIN EVENT
CHANNEL REBRAND OPENER
The rebrand of Main Event sets out to be bold, disruptive, gritty, and edgy. Tasked with creating the opening sequence, the central theme was to pay homage to legendary fighters that have epitomize the sport, resolving to the new breed of fighters on the journey to become legends in their own right. The sequence was created as a modular design allowing for individual sections to be reorganised and for the Main Event fighters on the evening's card to be showcased in the logo resolve. It was designed to immerse the viewer in the raw nature of boxing as they take a trip through the history of the sport's greatest fighters.

The project was built in a modular format to allow for individual sections to be rearranged and cut to allow for shorter sequences and stings to be created without the need for further animation.
PROCESS
The project was built using 2D elements layed out in 3D space in after effects. The opening boxing ring was built in C4D and utilised in after effects using VC Element to allow it to play with other 2D layers. To keep the workflow clean and allow for changes and updates each scene was built in its own comp with camera animation and lighting, and then composited into a master scene to blend the movement.
