FOX CRICKET CHANNEL BRAND
My team was tasked with revolutionising the newly formed cricket channel and creating the identity for a new era of cricket on Fox Sports. 'Cricket Like never before' was born. We took the idea of revolution and ran with it. I was responsible for the design and animation of a mechanic that would twist and spin to bring information graphics onto the screen, forming striking endboards and information beds. The graphics had to be built in a way that allowed for easy colour replacement and re-styling in post to suit a multitude of teams and competitions. They also needed to form a basis for show sets, digital and print assets and in show graphics to house and border stats and information.

The swirl was built in a way that allowed for templating the colourways and adjusting the shape of the swirl to fit differently in show assets. The build was achieved using displacement mapping mixed with cloning spline wraps around the core shape to achieve the revolution animation while using custom curves to control the individual strand rotation and shape.
